Two things changed together in the imbalance index with the October 2026 issue (method 1.0.0 → 1.3.0): the last complete settlement month replaced the out-of-sample validation window, and the basket was widened from the top 40 plants by generation to all wind plants in the EPİAŞ UEVM list, consolidated by UEVÇB. The current basket covers 94.2% of system wind generation. The two figures are not directly comparable — part of the difference comes from the window and part from the basket. Both published figures remain unchanged.
The October 2026 issue was delayed by two business days because measured-fleet coverage remained at 30.7%, and the basket was expanded to the full EPİAŞ UEVM list before publication.
